  12.                        Special Note Regarding CD-ROM Installation
  13.  
  14.           The files on your CD-ROM are not compressed, so you can see the 
  15.           look of a program right from the CD-ROM by typing the program's 
  16.           .EXE name at the DOS prompt.  You will not be able to save any 
  17.           files you create in this manner, however.  To do that, you must 
  18.           install the program to a floppy or a hard drive.  It is recommended
  19.           that you install this program to a floppy disk if you wish to test 
  20.           it thoroughly.  That way, the files you create can be copied to 
  21.           your hard disk should you decide to keep it later on.

  23.           You can install Calling Cards from your CD-ROM to a floppy disk, 
  24.           test it as thoroughly as you like, and then if you decide to keep 
  25.           it,  you can install it to your hard disk by running the Install 
  26.           found on your floppy disk, just as if the floppy disk were a 
  27.           distribution disk.  Install will copy over all of Calling Cards's 
  28.           files, and if you've created any data files, it will notify you and
  29.           ask if you want those copied over as well.

  35.                     IBM or compatible PC with 512K RAM
  36.                     Requires 310 Kb of disk space
  37.                     Calling Cards can be run from a hard or a floppy disk.
  38.                     DOS version 3.3 or later.
  39.  
  40.                     Calling Cards requires fanfold 1 up labels 
  41.                       (3 1/2" x 15/16") for its label printing functions.

  61.                             Installation from the CD-ROM
  62.  
  63.           From Calling Cards's CD-ROM directory, type:
  64.  
  65.                                      install
  66.  
  67.           Install will ask for one or two items:
  68.  
  69.                       1   the target drive, and
  70.                       2   the target directory (if copying to a hard disk)
  71.  
  72.           If you install Calling Cards to a floppy disk, you will not be 
  73.           asked for a target directory.

  75.           Please remember that you cannot install to a CD-ROM.
  76.  
  77.           After specifying the drive (and directory, in the event you're
  78.           installing to a hard drive), Install will ask if you need to make 
  79.           any changes.  If you need to change an entry, press <Y> or the up
  80.           arrow.

  84.           Install offers \MYREALM as the default directory.  You can change 
  85.           it to your liking of course, but it is recommended that all of My 
  86.           Little Realm's programs be put in the same directory.
  87.  
  88.           If you give Install the name of a directory that already exists, it
  89.           will put Calling Cards into that existing directory.  
  90.  
  91.           Warning:  You should only put Calling Cards into a directory with 
  92.           other My Little Realm programs.  They are made to interact 
  93.           properly.  If Calling Cards is your first MLR program, you should
  94.           put it into its own directory.

  98.                               Printing the Documentation
  99.  
  100.           To print Calling Cards's documentation, go to the Calling Cards 
  101.           directory (MYREALM is used as an example) and direct the printout 
  102.           of CALLING.TXT to the printer using the "> PRN" option as shown 
  103.           below.  Be sure your printer is on.

  113.                                 Printing an Order Form

  115.           To print an order form, go to the Calling Cards directory and 
  116.           direct the printout of REGISTER.TXT to the printer using the 
  117.           "> PRN" option as shown below.  Be sure your printer is on.

  126.           You can also print an order form by pressing <$>, the dollar sign,
  127.           in the Options Window of Calling Cards.

  131.           My Little Realm offers a number of programs for IBM PC compatible
  132.           computers.  They are:  Public Library (keeps track of what's due
  133.           when), Checking, Charging, Savings, Private Library (for cataloging
  134.           your own books, tapes, cd's, etc.), Read More (a program designed 
  135.           to encourage young readers), and Records of the Realm (which helps 
  136.           you keep track of all of the important documents in your life).
